Jacob Tamme brings together a unique blend of leadership, experience, and integrity shaped by his time at the University of Kentucky and nearly a decade in the NFL. A proud Wildcat, he earned both his bachelor’s degree (2005) and MBA (2007) from the University of Kentucky. Jacob currently serves on the Board of Governors for Champions Blue, LLC, where he provides strategic guidance and oversight for University of Kentucky athletics.

After a 9-year career in the NFL that included three Super Bowl appearances, Jacob joined the Meridian team in 2019. His time as a professional athlete sparked a passion for helping others—especially athletes, business owners, and high-net-worth families—navigate the complexities of their financial world. At Meridian, Jacob serves as Director of the Sports & Entertainment Division. As a CIMA® professional, Jacob brings advanced training in portfolio design and investment management, with a focus on tax-efficient strategies for high-net-worth individuals and families.

Jacob’s decorated athletic career included numerous honors, among them twice being named First-Team All-SEC, ESPN First-Team Academic All-American, SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year, National Good Works Team member, “Mr. Wildcat” Catspy winner, FCA Bobby Bowden Award winner, Draddy Award finalist, and induction into both the UK Athletics Frank G. Ham Society of Character and the UK Athletics Hall of Fame. He was recently named an “SEC Legend” by the Southeastern Conference.

Jacob and his wife, Allison, are deeply involved in philanthropy, including their signature event—the Swings for Soldiers Classic —benefiting Homes For Our Troops. He also serves as honorary chair of Coaches for the Kids, which supports the UK Children’s Hospital. With more than a century of family history in the cattle business, Jacob enjoys spending time on the family farm and treasures every moment with his three children—Luke, Lyla, and Ella.
